Bartending Training

Our 60 hour professional mixology course consists of 15, 4-hour lessons. Each lesson is an independent module that can be taken in any order after the first class and orientation. We now offer day, evening and weekend classes to fit any schedule. In addition, we have the option of tailoring a flexible schedule using any combination of day, everning, weekend or special times to fit any students situation.

When you graduate, you will be able to present 200 of the most popular drinks and will know over 250 recipes. Our course is continuously updated to reflect new drinks, laws and trends in the industry. In addition to this hands-on training, our curriculum also includes the following:

  • Bar Setup and Breakdown
  • Bar Equipment
  • Alcohol Awareness, Intervention, and State Laws
  • ABC S.T.A.R. Certification
  • Liquor Fundamentals
  • Free Pouring and Mechanics
  • Upselling and Customer Service
  • Garnish Preparation
  • Health and Sanitation
  • Beer, Wine, and Alcohol-Free Drinks

As a graduate of L.B.S., you can expect to earn a base wage between $6.00 and $9.00 per hour without tips. Tips, of course, are where you make most of your income. With your newly-acquired skills, you could earn $125 - $250 in tips alone for an eight hour shift!
