The Knoxville campus of the Professional Bartending School opened in 1998, and has been under the direction of David Edwards since June 2000. Our West Knoxville location is conveniently located only 15 minutes from most areas of Knoxville and is in one of the safest areas of town.
The Professional Bartending School of Knoxville is authorized for operation as a post secondary educational institution by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission. This authorization must be renewed each year and is based on an evaluation by minimum standards concerning quality of education, ethical and business practices, health and safety, and fiscal responsibility.
Our Knoxville campus has trained over 1,000 people of all ages and backgrounds since opening its doors in 1998.

Course Information
Our school has created bartending programs to answer the demand for professionally trained bartenders. We provide bartending education, organizational skills and customer service training. All of our graduates receive ServSafe alcohol awareness training by the National Restaurant Association. We then follow up your training with a proven job placement assistance program.
Our Professional Mixology course consists of ten, 4-hour lessons covering all of the information our graduates will need to know to tend bar professionally.
The course consists of eight drink lessons, responsible alcohol service and a beer and wine lesson.
Our graduates will have the drink knowledge and customer service skills to confidently tend bar at a nice neighborhood pub to the fanciest hotel or upscale nightclub.

Job Placement
We offer local job placement assistance to all of our graduates. Upon graduation, the graduate may report to the job placement office for one-on-one job placement assistance. Our Job Placement Director's job is to assist each student in finding the job that they want. Professional Bartending Schools have achieved a placement rate of over 90% nationwide
Cliff Jestice, our Job Placement Director and Instructor has been in the hospitality industry for over 20 years and has served in every capacity of the bar and restaurant business including bartender, manager and general manager. Cliff works full-time at our Knoxville campus.
Our Job Placement Director is responsible for maintaining a current list of job openings. Bar owners and managers regularly call our schools when they have an opening for a bartender. In addition, our staff makes regular calls to bars and restaurants to help them meet their staffing needs. Our services are free to bars and restaurants, and we work very hard to help them meet their staffing goals.
