The Columbus campus of PBSA Inc. was established in 1994 and has remained in the same location for over 21 years. The school owners live in Columbus and they take great pride in their school and the success of their graduates. We think it is in the student's best interest when the owners live in the same city as their bartending school.

The Professional Bartending Institute is licensed by the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools (OH#14-12-2055TT) and specializes in training people of all ages and backgrounds to learn the fun and profitable trade of bartending. The school has established an excellent reputation over the last 36 years by training the owners and managers of some of the finest bars in Columbus.

Our School

Our Columbus training facility boasts a fully equipped full-service bar and side service-bar. Students are taught the art of mixology in a classroom designed to simulate a real bar environment. The campus consists of 1,400 square feet of classrooms and offices in a well-lit safe area with ample parking and is convenient to public transportation.

The campus prides itself on its low student to instructor ratio. This allows the instructor to give each student plenty of one-on-one instruction, and any special help that may be needed. Only the best trainers are selected as Professional Bartending School Instructors.

The Columbus Bartending School takes great pride in the diverse backgrounds of their students and the success they have achieved in their bartending careers both part-time and full-time.

We suggest that before enrolling in any bartending school, that the prospective student take a personal school tour of the school and meet the staff. The school owners of the Columbus Bartending School work in the school every day. They are always there to help assist any student at any given moment. Remember that when getting an education, cheapest is seldom best!

Job Placement

We are very proud of the great bartending jobs our graduates have obtained. Over the last 36 years the Columbus Bartending School has built up very valuable contacts with bar owners and managers of Columbus. This PBSA school placed graduates at most Columbus bars over the years.

Our graduates have access to these great contacts upon completing our course. This is a great benefit that brand new, out-of-state bartending schools cannot offer to their graduates. A 36 year track record in Columbus is hard to beat.

Each of our graduates is also eligible to use our nationwide job placement assistance program. We currently have 28 campuses of our own and have contracted with 50 additional campuses to mutually help each other's graduates. With 28 campuses, we are the nation's largest group of independently-owned bartending schools.

We have signed, written contracts for placement services at these additional campuses and monitor them for their results. We feel we have the best schools for placement in the industry.

Important information

You must be 21 to bartend in the State Of Ohio. You can attend our school at the age of 18 if you are planning on relocating to a different state (where you are allowed to bartend at the age of 18) using our Nationwide Job Placement Assistance Program!
